The Clock

I stare at the clock upon the wall

The hands gliding gracefully with each passing second
As they count the hours, minutes, and seconds
I can hear the clock ticking
I can hear the clock tocking
To remind me of the past
The time I’ll never get back
To remind me of the future
The time that I’ll never see
To remind me of the now
The only time that matters
